9th Avenue Saloon is a gay bar in the Hells Kitchen neighborhood of New York City's borough of Manhattan. It became known for its popcorn. [1] It is located on 9th Avenue between 45th and 46th Streets and may be the neighborhood's oldest gay bar, as long as one of the city's oldest. [2] [3]

As of 2022 when it reopened under the same name following a two-year closure and renovation, [4] [5] it is gay owned and operated for the first time in its history. [2] [6]

The bar features in Rough Trade, a 2023 Off-Broadway play. [7]
