Zhang Xinmuyi (張心穆意, born 28 March 1996 in Hebei Province, China) is a former volleyball player in Japan. [1] [2] [3] Inspired by her parents, who were volleyball players, she started playing in middle school. [4] In April 2011, she moved to Japan, attending high school, Kyouei Gakuen High School (共栄学園) and later Shiseikan University. [1] She is 202 cm (6 ft 8 in) tall, making her one of the tallest female athletes in the world. [1] [2] She played professionally for GSS Tokyo Sunbeams as a middle blocker, with notable career statistics. [2] In April 2023, Zhang retired alongside several team members, continuing to work within the same company, was announced. [1]
