Witch Mountain is an upcoming science fiction television series, based on the novel Escape to Witch Mountain by Alexander Key. It will also serve as a new instalment in the Witch Mountain franchise from The Walt Disney Company.
Two teens living in a quiet suburb begin developing strange abilities.
A remake of the 1975 film from Walt Disney Pictures was first mentioned as being in development for Disney+ in March 2021. [1] In September, Gary Marsh left his position as Chief Creative Officer for Disney Branded Television to launch his own production company, joining Witch Mountain as an executive producer. [2] In December 2022, Disney+ greenlit a pilot for the series, with Bryce Dallas Howard, Isabel Gravitt, Levi Miller, Bianca “b” Norwood and Jackson Kelly cast in the series. Augustine Frizzell will direct the pilot. [3]
Filming began by December 2022, with production occurring in Toronto and Hamilton, Ontario. [4] [5]
