Vinita Kumar Duniphin was born in Kannur, Kerala, India to Vinod Kumar and Celine Vinod. She went to school at St. Michael's Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School, Kannur. Her dad passed away in a tragic train accident as he tried to get on a moving train.
