Vicente LaRocca, also known as Vicente Laroca (January 2, 1892 – July 27, 1963) was a Brazilian writer, sculptor, professor and philanthropist.He was known for his contributions to the arts during the 20th century. LaRocca signed his works under the surnames La Rocca, LaRocca, and Laroca. [1] [2]

LaRocca participated in the General Exhibition of Fine Arts at the National School of Fine Arts in Rio de Janeiro in the editions of 1916, 1917, 1919, 1920, 1922, 1923, 1925, 1926, and 1927. He also exhibited at the School of Fine Arts in São Paulo in the editions of 1934, 1936, 1939, and 1943. His monumental works are present in public squares in São Paulo. [8]

In 1957, LaRocca created the "Monument to Baden-Powell," bronze bust installed on a granite pedestal in Mauá, donated by the Union of Brazilian Scouts to the city of São Paulo. [10]
