Veana Elikplim Acolatse (born April 6) is better known by her stage name Veana Negasi. She is an Afrobeats and Afropop musician from Ghana.

Veana Negasi was born to Lucy and Thomas Acolatse of Keta, Volta. She attended Heaven's Gate and St. Peter's Mission Schools for her primary and secondary schooling, respectively. She completed her secondary schooling at New Nation International School before enrolling at SITMAP (ABE-UK) to major in business management.

Veana Negasi cites Beyoncé and the late Michael Jackson as two of her biggest musical inspirations. ^[1]

She began her career as a cover vocalist, and her rendition of Kuami Eugene's "Wish Me Well" became a viral hit on YouTube. This was her initiation into fame. After spending several years working in the cover singing industry, she began working at Lynx Entertainment as creative assistant to the CEO Richie Mensah, while simultaneously continuing to work in the cover singing industry. She also worked as the host of the music program 3Tunes on TV3.

In addition to that, she has also performed songs by artists including Camidoh (Sugarcane), KiDi (Touch It), Sarkodie (Happy Day), Davido (Blow My Mind), and King Promise (Abena), among others. ^[2]

Veana Negasi released her first single, "Get Down," in August 2022, followed shortly by her second single, "Hol' Me" ^[3]. Her six-track debut EP "No Apologies," was released in August 2023. The EP features the following tracks: Free Mind, Bad Man Killa, God Damn, I'll Be There, Abracadabra, and the title track, No Apologies. ^[4]
