Todd Mitchell Black (born April 12, 1964) is a former American football wide receiver who played a single game for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League (NFL) in 1987.
Black played college football at Concordia University. [1] [2] [3] [4]
Black was one of the replacement players, 'scabs' or 'spare Bears', engaged by the Bears during the NFLPA strike. [5] [6] At the time he was a physical education teacher at Oak Park and River Forest High School. [7] On October 4, 1987, he debuted for the Chicago Bears against the Philadelphia Eagles at Veterans Stadium. Black failed to record any statistics for the game.
