Status Queer is a Gothenburg based artist duo that uses spatial, relational, and performative art to explore queer and trans experiences. [1] It was founded in 2021 by artists Kolbrún Inga Söring (1988) and Sam Message (1995) with the aim of building a more inclusive community for queer/trans and other marginalized people in Gothenburg [2] through art and performance.
Over the years the duo has had their work represented at festivals [3] and in museums [4] both in and out of Gothenburg.
