The Society of Daughters of Mary Immaculate and Collaborators [1] (Latin: Societas Filiarum Mariae Immaculatae et Collaborators; abbreviated DMI) is a female religious institute was founded by Fr. Jesuadimai Emmanuel Arul Raj (a.k.a Fr J.E Arulraj). Fr. J.E. Arul Raj was called to be a catholic priest and later founded two religious societies - Missionaries of Mary Immaculate and Associates Movement International, many movements, associations, and institutions. DMI is a society of Apostolic Life for mission ad gentes of Pontifical Right [2]under His Holiness Pope Francis and the Pro-Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, His Eminence Luis Antonio Gokim Cardinal Tagle.
This congregation has established its presence in 10 countries: [3] India, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Italy, Central African Republic, Papua New Guinea, and Kenya. Since 2024, the Generalate [4] of the society has been located in Rome, Italy. Previously, the Generalate was in Ghaziabad, in the Diocese of Meerut, under the guidance of Archbishop Francis Kalist, who was then the Bishop of Meerut and is now the Archbishop of Pondicherry-Cuddalore.
