Sébastien studied history at the University of Strasbourg before changing to studying Fine Arts. He then went on to teach art in Sixth Form colleges. [1] In 2000, he moved to London and eventually became a free-lance artist represented by the Bright Agency. [2]
He has illustrated and worked on books with Julia Donaldson (Spinderella, 2016), Allan Ahlberg (Kicking a Ball, 2014), and Sam McBratney (Tell Me A Story Before I Go To Bed, 2006).
In 2015, Braun's title Can You Say it Too? Woof! Woof! won the Sheffield Children's book award. [3]
His 2010 book Toot and Pop was turned into a Channel 5 Children's animation, Toot the Tiny tugboat with 51 episodes.
Braun currently resides in the Cotswolds with his wife and their two children. [4]
