The Schools Division Office of Taguig City and Pateros (SDO-TAPAT) is a division of the Department of Education that is responsible in the administration and management of public elementary and high schools in the City of Taguig and the Municipality of Pateros. Its office is located at General Santos Avenue, Upper Bicutan, Taguig.
In 2013, the Taguig City Government implemented anti-bullying measures in all its public schools, even before the passage of the national Anti-Bullying Law. [3] In 2022, SDO-TAPAT denied the teachers’ maternity leave scam, where some teachers allegedly file maternity leave up to five times a year just to get maternity benefits. [4]
Following the aftermath of the territorial dispute, in which the Supreme Court ruled with finality in favor of Taguig, management and operation of 14 public elementary and high schools in the Embo barangays were transferred from the Schools Division Office of Makati to DEPED-TAPAT starting January 1, 2024.
