Satish Stefansson (born February 29, 1996) is a former competitive Canadian figure skater in men's singles.

Personal life

Satish Stefansson was born in Toronto, Canada to parents, Devika and Donald Stefansson. [2] After retiring from competition, Stefansson began a career in engineering and project management. [3]

Career

2010–11 season

In the 2010–11 season, Stefansson made his junior competitive debut placing 23rd at the 2011 BMO Skate Canada Western and Eastern Challenge. [4]

2011–12 season

Stefansson competed in junior for another season, placing 1st at the Middle Atlantic Figure Skating Championships. [5] He later placed 22nd at the 2012 Skate Canada Challenge. [4]

2012–13 season

Stefansson competed in junior for a 3rd season but withdrew from the free program at the 2013 Central Ontario Junior Sectionals Championship due to unknown circumstances. [4]

2015–16 season

In the 2015–16 season, Stefansson competed for the BC/YK Section and trained at the Connaught Skating Club in Richmond, Canada. [6] In November 2015, he competed in the senior men's event at the 2016 BC/YK Sectional Championships. He placed 4th overall and set a personal best of 41.88 in his short program and 77.68 in his free program. He then competed at the 2016 Skate Canada Challenge event, placing 24th in the country. [1]
