Art Installer Network (AIN) is a New Berlin, Wisconsin-based staffing agency for professional art installers. The cloud-based computer program serves professionals who deal with the installation of art and murals.[1]

Overview Art Installer Network is a platform that offers installation coordination services. It automates and integrates the installation processes, providing a streamlined and hassle-free process for estimating installation costs, finding local art installers, billing clients, paying installers, and ensuring the successful completion of any project. AIN’s experienced local installers complete projects at reasonable prices without additional travel expenses. Their database comprises approximately 1200 well-established experts.[1] Art Installer Network works with corporate, military, and residential projects and helps its clients save time and money by removing the cost of travel and integrating tasks.[3]

Art Installer Network provides support services for art providers and installers to keep their projects running efficiently. It offers client invoicing, file sharing, signature documentation, project consultation, and installer funding options. Art Installer Network has a pool of vetted art installers for each unique project.[4] The company also offers marketing and billing services to art installers along with paid transportation and opportunities to work on big projects.[5]

History Art Installer Network was founded in 2015 by Scott S. Solda, a former art installer and owner of On the Level Art Installation.[2]

Back in 1985, Maggie F. Smith, PhD, needed art installers when she began Art Source Online, one of the industry's first e-commerce art businesses, which was featured in INC. magazine. As a full benefit provider, she hired installers and based them out of her Milwaukee frame shop. Then, she met Chris Kulow, a freelance installer from Tennessee. In 2007, Maggie contracted Scott Solda as a web designer. He upgraded her site and took an interest in the art installation process. He approached Maggie with an idea to make installation more efficient; she liked the idea and made him her Installation Coordinator. Scott screened and hired installers, studied the local cost of living, performed time studies, and negotiated standard pricing for upcoming installs. He gathered data to construct algorithms that estimated labor costs and installation timeframes. Maggie was able to eliminate her travel over time, starting with immediate savings. Scott submitted a computer software on August 23, 2015, which combined file-sharing, scheduling, and pricing with an installation database. Initially, Art Installer Network offered information services and had a system that could find the closest, most capable installer for any given art project. Since then, Maggie has sold Art Source Online and is AIN's President. Scott works on the website, and Chris works as Field Director and liaison to the 1200+ independent installers registered to the network, all working at standardized prices and practices.[2]
