This Salishan conference was founded in 1981 to get together experts in computer architecture, algorithms and algorithms to foster communications, develop collaborations, solve problems of mutual interest, and build leadership in the field of high-speed computing. The conference logo reflects these three areas as a major aspect of the conference. Attendees are from national laboratories, academia, government, and private industry. [1]
The Salishan Conference on High-Speed Computing is organized by a Tri-Lab committee, composed out of Los Alamos National Laboratory(LANL), Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory(LLNL) & Sandia National Laboratories(SNL), and hosted by the Association for High-Speed Computing: [2], the conference convenes annually at the Salishan Lodge in Gleneden Beach, Oregon. [3]
The theme rotates annually [4] [5]
The committee has two members of each of the three organizing NNSA laboratories.
