Saints Anne and James church in Przasnysz ( Polish: Kościół klasztorny pw. św. Jakuba i Anny w Przasnyszu) is an Roman Catholic church in Przasnysz, Poland. Initially it belonged to Bernardines, now it belongs to Passionists.

History

The Bernardine monastery in Przasnysz was founded by Paweł Kostka in 1586. [1] The first friars came in 1588. [1] The construction of the church was finished in 1620 and it was consecrated by auxiliary bishop of Płock Stanisław Starczewski in 1635. [1] The Bernardine monastery was closed in 1864 as a repression after the January Uprising. [1] Since 1923 the church and the monastery belongs to Passionists. [1]

The architecture of Saints Anne and James church in Przasnysz was modelled after the Late Gothic Bernardine church in Bydgoszcz and it represents the Post-Gothic style.
