Rolf Jardemark, born November 23, 1960 [1] in Gothenburg, is a Swedish jazz musician (guitar) and composer.
After going to musical college at age 16 Rolf Jardemark studied classical guitar at The Academy of Music in Gothenberg. [2] His album debut was in 1989, after that he has released 13 more albums, most recently The Ripple Effect[6] (2023) where the pianist Lars Jansson participates together with drummer Adam Ross and bassist Olli Rantala. Rolf Jardemarks style as a guitarist has been compared with Wes Montgomery, Kenny Burrell and Pat Martino. [3] Since 2000, he also runs his own record label, Guitarland Records. Rolf Jardemark is mentioned in the book The Great Jazz Guitarists – The Ultimate Guide [4],by the American jazz historian and author Scott Yanow. [5]. Among many other collaborations he has worked with American saxophonist David Wilczewski, American guitarist John Stowell [6] and Swedish trombone player Nils Landgren.
