Maureen James Ochigbo Ajogwu (born September 30, 1996) [1] is a Nigerian rapper, songwriter, and performer known professionally by her stage name Rap Goddess. [2] She includes both English and Nigerian Pidgin in her rap music. Rap Goddess began singing, freestyling, and playing instruments at a young age. [3]

Early life and education

Rap Goddess was born in Niagara County, Mapletown, New York, to Nigerian parents from Benue State, Mr. James Ochigbo Ajogwu and Mrs. Rose Agbo. [2] She studied English and Linguistics at the University of Port Harcourt.

Music career

Rap Goddess started her music career in 2009 when she used to sing and perform as a gospel singer. In 2011, she transitioned towards rapping and composing. [1] She has released many songs, but her latest music release is the album Big Motion. [4] She is the founder of RG Records; she has organized and hosted shows and events, including her yearly Easter Rap Fiesta. [1]

Awards
