Pisanu Suvanajata ( Thai: พิษณุ สุวรรณะชฎ) is a Thai diplomat and businessman, currently the vice chairman of ThaiBev. [1] [2] Suvanajata was Thai Ambassador to the United Kingdom and Ireland from 2017 to 2022, and Thai Ambassador to Myanmar from 2012 to 2016. [3] [4] [5] [6]
Following Myanmar's move toward democratization in 2012, Suvanajata encouraged Thai investment in Myanmar, along with encouraging participation in international sporting events like the SEA Games. [7] [8] [9] Suvanajata likewise supported the continued political and economic form under Burmese President Thein Sein. [10] [11]
Suvanajata hosted a reception for the British Cave Rescue Council divers who partook in the Tham Luang cave rescue in 2018. [12] [13] He attended the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II on 19 September 2022. [14] [15]
