The Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM) is a pro-Palestinian, anti-Zionist, socialist, and anti-imperialist organization with chapters across North America and Europe. [1] The group is associated with the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL), a communist party in the United States, and the ANSWER Coalition. [1] [2] [3] [4] It is mainly compromised of Palestinian and Arab young people. [1] [5]

According to Giving Compass, a website that provides information about nonprofit organizations to prospective donors, PYM was founded in 1982. [6]

PYM has participated in the ongoing Israel-Hamas war protests in the United States alongside various other groups, and has taken an approach compared to that of New York City anti-Zionist group Within Our Lifetime (WOL), in refusing to work within the Democratic Party. [7]

Notably, in 2024 PYM participated in the creation of the first English translation of Wisam Rafeedie's novel The Trinity of Fundamentals, which discusses Palestinian resistance. Rafeedie is a former Palestinian prisoner. [5] [8]
