Established in 1959, Our Lady of Calvary School is a Catholic, parochial, co-educational institution sponsored by the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth located in Philadelphia, PA. The mission is to provide a holistic education aimed at nurturing the Christian development of every student in body, mind, and spirit within an environment of mutual respect and comprehension.
They are dedicated to instilling intellectual curiosity and a lifelong passion for independent learning in each child. Furthermore, they strive to guide our students towards the realization of their full potential in relation to God, themselves, and others, both in the sacred and secular aspects of their lives. [1]
Sister Mildred Chesnavage, the current Principal, has recently declared her decision to step down after 50 years of dedicated service to the school. The mantle of leadership will be assumed by Mrs. Jeanne Costello, who previously held the position of vice principal. Mrs. Sheila Picinich has been appointed as the new vice principal. Reverend John Babowitch fulfills the role of the school's pastor, while Reverend William Kirk assumes the position of Parochial Vicar alongside him. [2]
