Old Cork Homestead

The Old Cork Homestead is a vintage sandstone homestead in the Winton Shire, 126 km south-west of Winton, Queensland Australia. The property was built between 1880 and 1885 with local sandstone and timber imported from south east Queensland.

Cork Station was one of the first substantial properties established following the proclamation of the North Gregory pastoral district in 1873. Old Cork Station is significant for its association[ clarification needed] with Sir Thomas McIlwraith, who was Premier of Queensland on three occasions.

References to the Old Cork Station can be found in folk music by the Australian band Redgum.[ citation needed]
