Nicole Sahin is an American entrepreneur, philanthropist and author. She is the CEO and founder of G-P (Globalization Partners), a global employer of record (EOR) platform that received a $4.2 billion valuation after a $200 million investment from Vista Equity Partners in 2022. [1] [2] Sahin is recognised as the founder of the EOR industry. [3] She is also the author of the 2021 Wall Street Journal bestseller, Global Talent Unleashed, a guide to building global remote teams. [4]
Sahin was raised in St. Louis, Missouri. She intended to become an anthropologist, but after traveling to countries including Columbia and the Philippines, she decided to pursue a career in international business. [5]
In 2003, Sahin moved to California to secure an MBA in International Management at Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey. [6] She later relocated to Boston where she founded G-P. [7] [8]
In 2005, Sahin joined the newly founded High Street Partners (HSP), an international business services firm which facilitated the international expansion of clients including Tesla Motors and Duke University by helping them understand the regulations involved with establishing a presence overseas. [9] [10] In 2014, HSP merged with Nair & Co in 2014 to form Radius Worldwide, [11] which was then acquired by Vistra International Expansion in 2018. [12]
In 2011, Sahin quit her job at High Street Partners to pursue her idea of hiring employees in other countries on behalf of businesses. [13] She traveled for 12 months, meeting with advisers and lawyers internationally in order to understand the tax and legal complexities of setting up businesses in other countries, and in 2012, with companies in 24 countries, she founded G-P, a SaaS employment platform. [14] [8] As of May 2024, G-P has established companies in more than 180 countries. [15]
In June 2023, Sahin and G-P co-founded the EOR industry watchdog, The Global Employment Innovation Organization (GEIO). [16]
In 2023, Sahin was an agenda contributor at the World Economic Forum (WEF) and spoke about the impacts of generative AI at the 2023 WEF Growth Summit. [17] [18]
Sahin is an executive co-producer of the documentary Of Night and Light which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2023. [19] The long-format documentary relates ibogaine’s history in North America as a successful but under-recognized one-off treatment for severe depression, PTSD, and drug and alcohol addiction. [19]
In 2011, Sahin co-founded Sweet Life School for Girls in Cambodia, a project to establish a school in rural Cambodia that provides elementary education to more than 600 students. [24] She is on the board of directors of School the World, an international nonprofit solving extreme poverty through education. [25]
