James' covers meeting Winehouse at stage school at thirteen before both of their music careers took off with them later touring and recording together in the early 2000s. [2] He charts witnessing Winehouse's writing of her career-defining album Back to Black as well as the ups and downs of their close friendship and her death at age 27.
