Mohsen Guizani holds the position of a Professor of Machine Learning at the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) in Abu Dhabi, UAE. He is an applied artificial intelligence scientist and an IEEE Fellow. [1]. Guizani is acknowledged for his notable contributions in various areas including smart city and smart services applications, internet of things, cybersecurity, autonomous systems, and wireless communications and networking.
Mohsen Guizani earned his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, along with an M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and an M.S. degree in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University College of Engineering and Computer Science in 1990, 1989, 1987, and 1985, respectively.[ citation needed] Before his tenure at the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence, he held positions at various institutions, including the University of Idaho, Western Michigan University, the University of West Florida, and the University of Missouri (UAS), as well as Qatar University, Kuwait University, and University of Petroleum and Minerals (Gulf Region).[ citation needed]
Mohsen Guizani's research focuses on diverse areas, including smart city and smart services systems and their applications, machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms, wireless communications and networking systems, cybersecurity, and smart renewable power. His research output comprises over one thousand articles in books, peer-reviewed journals, and conference proceedings [2]. Financial support for his ongoing research initiatives is provided by the Mohamed bin Zayed University, the Technology Innovation Institute, and the Qatar Foundation.[ citation needed]
Guizani takes a leadership role in various projects related to smart city and smart services, incorporating AI/ML applications and wireless communications and networking. Notably, he initiated the launch of a new journal with Wiley [3] [4] and currently serves as the Editor-In-Chief of the IEEE Network [5].
