Mohammad Reza Hakimi ( Persian: محمد رضا حکیمی) was a Muslim scholar and theologian.

Birth

He was born in the city of Mashhad. His father’s name was Abdolvahab. Top businessmen in the bazaar admired Abdolvahab for his honesty. [1]

Works

Hakimi devoted his life to writing and teaching. He wrote many books and articles on Islamic philosophy, ethics, and history, as well as on topics that connect Islamic thought and Western philosophy. Besides his writings, Hakimi also held various academic roles and participated in cultural and educational projects in Iran. He left behind a legacy of being a bridge-builder—between different traditions of thought and between scholarly reflection and everyday spiritual quest. [2]

Death

He fell ill in 2021 caused by COVID-19 and died of heart failure at a Tehran hospital. [3]
