Biography

A graduate of the Medical University of Wroclaw (1995), he specialized in pulmonology and public health. In 2004, he completed postgraduate studies in healthcare management at Częstochowa University of Technology. [2]

Since 1995, he has worked at the Complex of Municipal Hospitals SPZOZ in Częstochowa as a junior assistant and assistant. [2] He was a co-founder of the National Trade Union of Physicians and the Association of Friends of the Tytus Chałubiński Hospital in Częstochowa. [3] In 2001, he joined the Civic Platform. [3]

In 2003 he became deputy head of the Department of Health and Social Affairs at the Częstochowa City Hall. On September 17, 2012, he was appointed vice president of the National Health Fund. [4] After Agnieszka Pachciarz's resignation on December 13, 2013, he temporarily took over her duties. He was dismissed from his position after the weekly Wprost magazine described that in 2013 he allegedly coerced subordinates to remove his data from CBA protocols concerning irregularities in a contract concluded by the Silesian branch of the NFZ. [5] [6] An ongoing investigation did not confirm that such an event had occurred. On August 4, 2014, he also terminated his position as vice president. After his dismissal, he sat on the boards of companies operating in the medical industry and lectured at Lazarski University.[ citation needed]
