Promise Kelvin Anagbogu (born 4 May 1995), [1] professionally known as Lord Lamba or Lord of Lies, is a Nigerian comedian and skit maker. [2] [3] [4]

Early life

Promise Kelvin Anagbogu was born on 4 May 1995 in Amuwo Odofin, Lagos State but originally hails from Anambra State, southeast Nigeria. [1] He acquired his primary school education at Fountain of Life Primary School and his secondary education at Rose Secondary School, Lagos State, southwest Nigeria. [5]

Career

Kelvin's career as a comedian started in 2019. As a child, he dreamt of becoming a professional footballer, [6] but his mother made him see the possibility of venturing into comedy because of his ability to make people laugh. [7] [8]

He first started comedy by posting short skits on social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook. [9] [10] In 2020, he officially debuted his first comedy video which earned him the nickname "Lord of Lies". [11] [12]

In 2021, he won the DENSA Award as Social Media Comedian of the Year after being nominated alongside Broda Shaggi, Mr. Sabinus and Taaooma. [13] That same year, he won the Nigeria Choice Awards as the Best Content Creator of The Year. [14]
