Lo-fi Games is a United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland [1] based video game developer and publisher. A privately owned business, th company was founded in 2006 [2] by Chris Hunt. The business was founded during the development of Kenshi a video game developed and published by Lo-Fi Games for Windows that went on to see massive success eclipsing 1.4 Million copies sold [3].
During the early stages of the company it had been a one man team for nearly 6 years in an attempt to release their first product. In that time the founder Chris Hunt had worked as a Security Guard by night while working on his project during the day. Chris Hunt's sister soon after during the polishing stages of Kenshi before release became an employee of Lo-Fi Games working on writing and design. Soon after Kenshi was accepted for Steam Greenlight's Early Access [2] allowing Lo-Fi games funds needed for development.
Since then Lo-Fi games has begun development of their newest project Kenshi 2 [4], not much news is known regarding this other than what Lo-Fi games has published on their blogs. Lo-Fi Games has also started hiring employees to work on both projects Kenshi and Kenshi 2.
Lo-Fi games has currently developed 1 game, with another arriving at an unknown time as a successor to their previous wildly popular game Kenshi since their inception in 2006.
