Kristin L. Kahle (born on October 25), also referred to as Dr. K, is an American entrepreneur, certified healthcare specialist, author, and business coach. She is the founder of Navigate HCR, a compliance and reporting solutions company.

Early life and education

Kahle was born on October 25, in Tiffin, Ohio. At age 5, she donated around 1000 cubic centimeters of her bone marrow to her older brother, Jason, who was eight years old. She went to Pine Manor College, received a BBA degree, and pursued an MBA from the University of Phoenix. In 2008, she went to Argosy University and graduated with a Doctor of Business Administration degree in 2014. Her dissertation topic in DBA was healthcare reform.

Career

Kahle started her career before her DBA. She was a vice president at Plenary Insurance Services from November 2007 to September 2009. In May 2010, she joined Leavitt Group of San Diego for the same position and left in June 2012.

In June 2012, Kahle worked as an independent healthcare reform contractor for over two years before she started her business. She has also been a vice president at SFG Benefits Insurance Services and Glass House Benefits.

In January 2014, Kahle founded Navigate HCR, a compliance and reporting solutions company based in San Diego, California. As of 2022, Navigate HCR has over 200 employees and over $5 million in revenue. Kahle works there as the CEO as well.

Recognition

Kahle received the “Most Influential Woman in Benefits” award by Employee Benefit Advisor for two consecutive years in 2014 and 2015. In 2019, she was nominated for the San Diego Business Journal Top Tech Awards for the technology developed by NHCR. Kahle was the only female athlete at Pine Manor College to obtain a double bachelor’s. In 2020, Kristin’s book, NOtivation: Use the Power of NO to Make Your First Million Dollars, received the silver award in Kops-Fetherling Book Award.
