Kelly Chapman Meyer is an American environmental activist, health advocate, and entrepreneur. She is best known for her work in promoting health and wellness through environmental sustainability. [1] [2] [3] [4]
Kelly was a contributing editor for Mademoiselle in 1990 under Gabe Doppelt, and at Harper's Bazaar under Liz Tilberis, [5] in 1993. As an actress and producer, Kelly has appeared in John Stockwell's 1986 film, Dangerously Close and Irwin Winkler's 1999 film, At First Sight, [6] with Val Kilmer, and the 2022 film Babylon. [7] Kelly was also a co-executive producer of the NBC medical drama "Heartbeat." [8]
As an environmental activist, Kelly has organized the Guinness Book of World Record Peace Paddle Out [9] [10] to raise awareness and funds for ocean conservation. She is also a co-founder of the Women's Cancer Research Fund, [11] [12] [13] where she has helped raise over $40 million for groundbreaking Bio-Marker research. [14] [15]
In 2012, the Environmental Media Association honored Kelly, along with Elon Musk, with their EMA Lifetime Achievement Award. [16] [17]
She has spoken at the Milken Global Conference, [18] and at the Green Schools Alliance.
