She executive produced the second season of Queens Memory Project Podcast [12] which won the Third Coast International Audio Festival Impact Award [13] [14]. She ran a show about Texas independent films on KTSW 89.9. [15]
In 2022, Gass-Pooré created, produced and hosts [16] [17] Hazard NJ with NJ Spotlight News. Hazard NJ is an investigative podcast covering the ways that climate change and extreme weather impact Superfund sites in New Jersey [18] [19] and the first podcast to be produced by NJ Spotlight News. [20] [21] She is a Pulitzer grantee. [22]
Gass-Pooré has contributed to numerous publications and was an Investigative Reporters & Editors 2021 Freelance Fellow. [23] She also is a co-founder of Local Switchboard [24] [25], through which she speaks and runs training on the topic of podcasting. [26] She was the editor on the Edward R. Murrow Award (Radio Television Digital News Association) winning podcast Stop and Frisk: Revisit or Resist at WHYY.
