Joe Cantamessa (born 10 November 1987) is a New Jersey Guitarist & Producer known for his work as the lead guitarist and producer in the Progressive Black Metal band IATT (formerly known as I Am the Trireme).
Joe Cantamessa is a self-taught guitarist. He formed his first death metal / grindcore band Haarmann around the age of 14 while attending school with other local musicians. He has played with other acts throughout the years such as The Concubine, Necrophilia, Circle of Fear, Glass Midnight, Remnants of Winter, Joe Cantamessa (solo album), The Banner, and current & most notable IATT (formerly known as I Am the Trireme).
Joe played his first show with his first band Haarmann in the early 2000's at a local Battle of the Bands. Claiming first prize in the contest, Haarmann won free time in a recording studio. This is when Haarmann recorded the 'Skingraft Demo', and then the full-length album 'When the Vultures Come". Haarmann separated only a few years later with two members still being in High School.
Joe continues playing in IATT, as well as being endorsed by Guitarmory Pickups and having his own signature "Arsenic" pickup set.
