Jeffery Owen Rose Jeffery Owen Rose (born March 02, 1955) is an American principal credit examiner who is known for his experience in bank management. He is the first African-American in Texas to become president of a major holding company bank when in 1984 Texas Commerce Bank Greenway Plaza elected him president.[1]

He has served on boards and has been a member of several organizations including a member of the “R” Association, member of the Association of Rice Alumni Board,[2] is a life member of the Owl Club. He was elected to the Rice University Hall of Fame as a "Distinguished R" in 2019.
