Baba Gian Singh was born in Mulanpur and came from a Deol family.With his friend,Baba Prem Singh, he took Amrit in Punjab and became a Nihang and the 10th Jathedar of Buddha Dal.Then,he with another friend, Baba Fateh Singh, worked to revive the Khalsa principles and convince the people to stop planting and eating tobacco and grow healthier foods which he did with his influence and persuasion.
