James Curtis is an American Writer [1] and Cyber Security and Reliability Thought Leader [2].
Curtis received his associate's degree from Western Nebraska Community College.
He began working in IT in Western Nebraska in 2008 [3].
While in school for IT, Curtis interned at a hospital in Western Nebraska [3]. Shortly after, he relocated to Sacramento, CA where he continued his career in IT.
In 2019 he began giving talks, and writing articles on various topics, including Cyber Security [4], Site Reliability [5] [6], and Observability [4]. His talked ranged from technical demonstrations, to how to build distributed security teams.
In 2023 Curtis published his first book Cribl Stream Fundamentals
