Hasini Lakshminarayanan (born 20 July 2008) is an Indian public speaker who advocates for youth empowerment.
In 2020, at 12 years old, Lakshminarayanan establishing a non-profit social organization, The First Step, dedicated to youth empowerment on 20 July. [1] [2] Her primary focus was spotlighting stories of young prodigies and their accomplishments. To amplify her mission, Lakshminarayanan began a YouTube channel that same year, [3] [4] on which she conducted interviews with young achievers from across the globe.
Her talks primarily focus on youth empowerment, urging other fellow teens to recognize their potential and take meaningful strides toward their goals.
Lakshminarayanan also serves as a nutrition ambassador for the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) under the Government of Tamil Nadu. Through sessions in schools, she collaborates with medical experts, addressing crucial topics such as "Good Touch & Bad Touch" and educating students about menstrual health.
Lakshminarayanan has showcased her cause and work done in 3 platforms in the TEDx. [5] [6] [7]
Beyond her digital platform, Lakshminarayanan has written for The Hindu's school edition. [10] [11] She has also authored two books, The First Step and Whizz Kidz, both published by Emerald Publishers. [12] The First Step covers the stories of 25 young achievers, while Whizz Kidz presents conversations with 20 young achievers.
Lakshminarayanan founded the monthly magazine Guiding Young Minds, solely run by and for children. The magazine highlights young achievers' stories, features columns on nutrition, poetry, and puzzles.
Hasini Lakshminarayanan was born in 2008 and is presently dedicated to her secondary studies at Chettinad Vidyashram School in Chennai.
