Gonçalo Lobo Pinheiro (born April 4,1979) [1] is a Portuguese photojournalist and documentary photographer, [2] living in Macau, China, since 2010. [3]

After four years studying Geological Engineering at the Faculty of Science and Technology of Universidade Nova de Lisboa in Almada, which he entered in 1997, he concluded that his interests lay elsewhere and enrolled in a degree in Communication Sciences, Journalism variant, at Autonomous University of Lisbon, a course he completed in 2005. He began working with photography in 2000 and, two years later, began his professional internship at the now extinct news agency Intermeios.
