Not to be confused with other people named George Gage or George W. Gage
George William Gage (1887–1957) was an artist and illustrator known for his portraits. [1] He illustrated books and magazines and also painted.
He did illustrations for the Saturday Evening Post. [2] He also illustrated stories in McClure's Magazine. [3] [4] and Everybody's Magazine. [5]
He also did two covers for North West Stories magazine. [6] Project Gutenberg lists 20 books he illustrated. [7]
He taught at the New York Evening School of Industrial Art. [8]
