Gabriel Karkovsky (born on June 12, 1994) is a photographer specializing in street and portrait photography.
After graduation, Karkovsky worked as a lecturer in Film and Art History. He was also a picture editor for television news in 2022–2023. Exhibited internationally [1], he captured everyday life in various European cities, including Berlin, Vienna, Ostend, Liège, and Maastricht. In 2024, his photograph of the Prague Žižkov Television Tower reflected in a puddle appeared in a Lomography article on techniques of street photography [2]. He has also worked as a freelance portrait and commercial photographer, publisher and editor of photo books [3] [4], and content designer.
In 2022, he photographed [5] writer Julien Wacquez for Angle Mort [6] magazine. In 2023, he cofounded a creative hub, V+G Studio, with his partner, illustrator Victoria Titievska. Together, they worked on several projects, including creating visuals for Paola Henric’s short film Paul [7] (2024), a story about an autistic painter. Karkovsky was a BTS photographer for Vjerka Muhldorf's anthology film, Nesoulady [8].
Passionate about music [9] [10], he has also written columns for various music magazines such as CultureSonar [11], Post Trash [12], or Insounder [13]. Additionally, he wrote and produced two short films, Les Nuances de la longévité (2019) and Full Support (2023), in collaboration with French writer Sophie Bouvier [14].
