Frozen 3 is an upcoming American animated musical fantasy film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. It will be the sequel to Frozen (2013) and Frozen II (2019), and the third installment in the Frozen franchise. Idina Menzel and Josh Gad will reprise their respective voice roles as Elsa and Olaf from the previous two films.
The film is scheduled to be released in 2026.
In February 2023, during the Q1 earnings call, Disney CEO Bob Iger confirmed that a sequel to Frozen II (2019) was in active development. [3] Shortly thereafter, Josh Gad confirmed that he would return as the voice of Olaf in the film. [4] In June of the same year, Jennifer Lee revealed that she would not be returning to direct. [5]
The film is scheduled to be released in 2026. [6]
In November 2023, Disney CEO Bob Iger announced that a fourth Frozen film was in active development. [7]
