Flatsound is the lo-fi indie music project of singer, songwriter, and sound artist Mitch Welling. Based in Southern California, Welling began releasing music on SoundCloud under the moniker Flatsound in 2007 [1]. In 2008, Welling was diagnosed with panic disorder and agoraphobia and "didn't leave [his] house for almost ten years". [2] Welling also releases experimental bedroom pop music along with Fox Academy's Christian Novelli under the project name Wishing. [2] [3]
