FK Tatran Turzovka is a Slovak football tea based in the town of Turzovka. The club was founded in 1923.
Organised football in Turzovka is dated to 1920s, with the most frequently referred year of 1923. First recorded football match of Turzovka selection is dated in August 1923 versus a visiting team from Bytča. It is likely that the club had ceased or limited operations during the financial crises of 1920s and resumed organsied operations in 1931. By 1932, ŠK Turzovka had leased land and constructed its first one-stand stadium for the approximate cost of 20 thousand Kčs, inaugurating it on 24 July 1932 with a fixture against ŠK Kysučan Kysucké Nové Mesto. After separation of First Czechoslovak Republic during the Nazi occupation, first annual Turnaj česko-slovenskej vzájomnosti (Czecho-Slovak Togetherness Tournament) was held on 14-15 August 1946. 75th edition of the tournament was hosted in July 2023, during club's centennial celebrations. During the celebrations, Tatran Turzovka had established a hall of fame named Galéria slávnych turzovského futbalu (Gallery of the famous of Turzovka football). [2]
