Escape This Podcast is a 2017 Australian podcast hosted by Bill Sunderland and Dani Siller that focuses on solving Escape Rooms in an audio format. Since the debut of its first episode on May 24, 2017, the podcast has run for multiple seasons and has produced a collection of bonus episodes. Each episode features one or more guests either playing through a 'room' that Dani has created, or hosting a 'room' of their own for Bill and Dani to escape from.
While some seasons are comprised of individual stand-alone rooms, every other season brings a complete story arc of interconnected rooms that tell a larger story when listened to consecutively.
Though many guests over the years have been niche-specific figures in the Escape Room and puzzle game community, a fair amount of renowned actors and celebrities have also graced the seat such as Neil Patrick Harris, Milo Manheim My Brother, My Brother & Me, Clea Duvall, Janet Varney, Jason Ritter, Alex Horne, Ed Gamble, Rose Matafeo, Peih-Gee Law, Dungeons and Daddies, and several others including contestants of game shows and reality television programs like Jeopardy! and Survivor.
Dani has admitted that many of the episode titles are subtle references to The Simpsons, which she often describes as a favorite show of hers and her main exposure to American media.
