Esau Williams

Esau Williams is a journalist. He joined the BBC World Service in 2010, producing some of the corporation's flagship news and current affairs programmes. He rose to global prominence in 2014 during the Ebola outbreak, when his News About Ebola programmes on the BBC were essential listening. The programme later won a Peabody Award. [1] Williams is also known for his direct interviewing style as a presenter on the BBC's main English news programme for and about Africa, Focus on Africa. He covered the 2021 Gambian presidential election for the BBC, where he reported and presented live editions of Focus on Africa on location.
