His company, Anakle Films, distributed The Set Up, a film directed by renowned filmmaker Niyi Akinmolayan. The movie stars actors Adesua Etomi, Dakore Akande, and Kehinde Bankole in prominent roles. [7]
He is also recognized for his work on films such as Fishbone (2020), a short film, Day of Destiny (2021), and The Black Book (2023), which he describes as a heartfelt tribute to Nigeria, his homeland. [9] It made history by becoming the first Nollywood-produced film to achieve the top ranking on Netflix globally. [10] [11]

Effiong played an active role in the ENDSARS protests in Nigeria in 2020, advocating for the cause. He also attended and recorded the daily sessions of the post-ENDSARS judicial hearing panel, thereafter sharing his media documentation on his Twitter page. [13] [14]
