Diana Sousa (born in Porto, Portugal. [1]) is a Portuguese comic book colorist who's received an Eisner Awards nomination [2] for her work in the Critical Role: Vox Machina Origins series and the graphic novels The Mighty Nein Origins: Caleb Widogast, The Mighty Nein Origins: Yasha Nydoorin, and The Mighty Nein Origins: Fjord Stone, published by Dark Horse Comics.
Diana Sousa is a graduate of the Multimedia (Tecnologias da Comunicação Multimédia) course at ESMAE ( Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espetáculo) in Porto [1]. After working under the mentorship of Irish colorist Triona Farrell, she began to work as a colorist for Dark Horse Comics in 2020 [1]. She has worked in the Critical Role: Vox Machina Origins series and the Critical Role: The Mighty Nein Origins graphic novels [3].
She has worked with Canadian comic book author and illustrator Kate Leth, as a colorist in the Mall Goth graphic novel, released in 2023 from Simon and Schuster [4]
Sousa was a 2023 Eisner Awards nominee for Best Coloring for her work in the Critical Role: Vox Machina Origins series and the graphic novels The Mighty Nein Origins: Caleb Widogast, The Mighty Nein Origins: Yasha Nydoorin, and The Mighty Nein Origins: Fjord Stone. [2]
