Daphne Jones (born March 1957 in Harvey, Illinois) is a Fortune 500 executive [1] independent board member, entrepreneur, author, and public speaker. [2]
Jones began her career at IBM, working in various roles in sales and systems engineering. [3] After working for 16 years at IBM she moved to Johnson & Johnson and worked in different information and technology roles from 1997 to 2006 where she then served as Chief Information Officer from 2006 to 2009. [4] Jones then moved on to her next position in 2009 as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Hospira (now Pfizer after acquisition in 2015). [5]
In 2014, Jones directed the global team of GE HealthCare as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. [6]
Currently she works as a board member for Masonite International Corporation, AMN Healthcare [7], and Barnes Group. [8]
She also serves as the CEO for The Board Curators, which she founded. [9]
In 2016, she won the Caribbean Luminary Award from the American Foundation of the University of the West Indies. [10] She was also named one of Illinois' Most Powerful and Influential Women by the National Diversity Council as well as Computerworld Premier 100 CIO. [11]
Jones was named as one of most influential AA Directors in 2021 by Savoy Magazine. [12]
