The following is a list of known persons bearing the surname Coreman. The name appears to be most common amongst Canadians [1] [2].
Thomas Coreman was a British soldier who served with the Durham Light Infantry Regiment during the First World War [3] [4] [5]. He enlisted on November 9, 1914 [3], and was discharged on October 17, 1917 [3]. Private [3] [4] Coreman's official record lists him as being "A. Ros." [3], the "A." possibly meaning "Available" and the "Ros." being the military abbreviation for "Reduced Operating Standard." [6].
Another Coreman, Thomas served with the Western Command Labour Centre, and whose regiment number was 506151 [7] [a].
A "T E Coreman" appears in British documentation, and is listed as a casualty, killed in 1915. [8]
A Victor Frederick Coreman (Born in Woodford Halse) is known to be a casualty of the First World War [9]..
