Colt Balok is a talk show host and global media influencer with over a million followers. [1]
Colt was born in Tijuana, Mexico as Matthew Tyler Crosby. [2] He was put up for adoption, and adopted at the age of two. He grew up with six siblings, all with names starting with 'C'. Colt, then Matthew, felt out of place without a 'C' name, and later changed it. [3]
Colt serves on the New Mexico Heart Gallery Foundation, an organization that helps aged-out foster youth. He has been involved with the Foundation for 11 years. [4]
Colt is a devout Catholic and attends mass every day. [5] In 2020 Colt hosted the Bishop's Mardi Gras event for the Sacred Heart Cathedral Parish in Gallup, New Mexico. [6]
Colt has listed Oprah Winfrey, Stephen Covey, and Leo Buscaglia as some of his influences. [7]
In 2018 Colt launched The Colt Balok Show as a way to turn entertainment into "love and human connection." [8] The show began with Colt awarding two-thousand dollar checks to citizens who were changing their community in significant ways, [9] which aired on the CABQ Network. [10]
