Ryangbo Byun(邉良輔, ?~?) was a Joseon government official and the father of the Duke Cheomji fraction of Wonju Byun clan. Ryangbo Byun is the seventh generation of the Wonju Byun clan. He is the first son of We Byun (邉偉). His youngest brother, Ryanggirl (良傑), was a naval officer in Chungcheong Province during the Japanese invasions and contributed to protecting Ganghwa Island.
Ryangbo’s Courtesy name was Kukno (國老 Treat him like a king). Ryangbo served as Cheomjungchu (僉中樞 currently, administrator or military rank Major General). He died on October 28 (year not given). His spouse’s family name was Park (Park Clan in Wubong) and she died on August 12 (did not indicate year). She had "Sukbuin (淑夫人 Jeong 3 Pum, Dangsanggwan, director or Brigadier General)", an official position. He had 4 sons, Soo (洙), Sok (涑), Ki (沂), and Rak (洛). He is the progenitor of the Cheomji faction. Cheomji was the official rank of Jeong 3 Pum military officer of the central government. Jungchuwon was a government office in charge of distributing the king's name, military affairs, and military equipment. The military officer of the third rank was currently a Major General in the military rank.
The descendants of Duke Cheomji fraction of Wonju Byun up to the 16th generation include Soo (Hojochampan, current Vice Minister), Yijin (Byungjochamui, current Minister), Hwan(Tongdeokrang, current Deputy Governor), Sangdam (Cheomjungchu, current Major General), Moon, Hankook, Kyungin (Tongdeokrang, current Deputy Governor), Taehwa, Dongwoo, Jihyun, Seokyeon, Seungphil, Hyungsik, Heepung, and Eungzou (founding members of Amore Pacific Co., Ltd.).
